Task 3. Part 1. "What do Internet yoga courses consist of and how should I attend?

Session 3. Part 1.

What do Internet Yoga Courses consist of and how should one pass?

Although yoga is a single teaching, it consists of a large number of different types of yoga. For example, Hatha Yoga is primarily a method of working with the physical body. Pranayama yoga is the methods of working with prana through breathing exercises and so on. Each type of yoga is a set of different methods that work with a particular manifestation of a person. In fact, as many as there are manifestations of the human body, there are as many different types of yoga as part of a single yoga teaching. Unfortunately, only about two dozen types of yoga have survived. A separate Yoga Course is dedicated to each type of yoga at our University. In addition, some important courses or disciplines related to yoga, are also devoted to individual courses.

Online Distance Learning at our University assumes that a student will consistently complete a certain number of individual Yoga Courses. Each of these separate courses is devoted to a particular section of yoga. Thus, each student gradually, at his own pace, will pass all the courses presented here. The courses in each section are numbered, since each next course relies to some extent on the material of the previous Yoga Course. Therefore, each next course should be completed no earlier than the student completed the previous course and scored a certain number of points. Otherwise, there may be a very serious misunderstanding of the theory in the higher sections of yoga, which will result in errors in practice.

Remember that we are constantly working on all the courses, we try to make them more complete and understandable. Therefore, if you have completed one or another course, then after a while it makes sense for you to go back to it and familiarize yourself with all the new additions. Sometimes these additions are quite significant and are answers to many questions from students that have accumulated over time. At the bottom of each course page, you can usually find the last update date.

All available courses that a student must take are divided into several sections or cycles, such as “Zero Yoga Training Cycle”, “First Yoga Training Cycle”, “Second Yoga Training Cycle” and “Additional Yoga Materials”. It is supposed that you will start to study yoga from the “Zero yoga cycle”, and as soon as you complete it, you will have to complete all the other courses of different cycles. You can do this both sequentially, course by course, and in parallel, several courses at once. Also, in parallel with the passage of Yoga Courses from the first and second training cycles, you can optionally take any Courses from a section called “Additional Yoga Materials” to expand your horizons in yoga and better understand the whole atmosphere that surrounds yoga.

Each individual course on a particular type of yoga consists of a certain number of steps that a student must take in succession.

Course Pitch

Each individual step of the Course contains the material of the lesson, which the student must study, a test for checking the material with which the student has familiarized before this, homework or some other task provided by the Course.

Material occupation

The material of this lesson can be presented simultaneously in the form of text, as well as in the form of video or audio lectures. The time allotted for the study of the lesson consists of the time to study the text and the time to listen to (watch) the audio (video) of the lesson file once. If the speed of your Internet connection does not allow you to download and listen to or view Video, Audio lecture files, then you should solve this issue without fail, because without Audio or Video lectures it is impossible to feel the emotional atmosphere in which the knowledge of yoga passes .

The printed text is partly a skeleton of knowledge, it is extremely necessary, but, like any skeleton, it does not convey the situation as a whole. We can spend hours admiring a photo of a beautiful girl, but if a girl instead of her photo gives the young man an X-ray of her skeleton, the young man is unlikely to be happy. But at the same time, every beautiful girl should have that logical body frame, which is absolutely necessary. Likewise, a dry text narration of knowledge of yoga is certainly necessary, but it does not convey all the nuances of this knowledge. Personal presence or at least Video, Audio recording is required.

The emotional component in yoga is no less important than the dry, logical. In addition, lectures are sometimes replete with comparisons, anecdotes, analogies that are perfectly perceived in the Audio or Video versions, but seem strange and inappropriate in the text version of the presentation. Therefore, you should complement the study of the material by listening or viewing Audio or Video recordings. It should also be remembered that some reservations and inaccuracies are sometimes observed in the Audio or Video lecture notes, which, of course, may be present during live lectures. In the printed version, we try to eliminate all these inaccuracies in order to avoid ambiguity. Therefore, the printed version is sometimes different from the Audio, Video options. In this sense, if you encounter any inconsistencies or incomprehensible points in the presentation of the material, then priority, from a logical point of view, should be given to the printed version, since it is easier to correct than to edit the Audio, Video lectures.

Thus, in order to master the material of classes, both the Audio (Video) version of the lecture for absorbing the aura of yoga knowledge and the printed text version of the class for clarifying possible random illogicalities and reservations are equally necessary.

Some classes may not have Audio and Video versions. In this case, you should study only the text version of the occupation. And the time allotted for the study of the lesson consists of time to work out the text of the lesson. If only Audio and Video versions of a lesson are presented without a text version, then time is given only for a single listening or viewing of an activity.

Class time is calculated based on the time spent by students in the past. If you didn’t meet this time, there’s nothing wrong with that.

The material of the lesson can also be laid out in different ways:

1. The material is presented as a web page on which the text of the lesson and Audio Video files of the lesson can be placed.

2. The second option is only the text of the lesson, presented in MS Word (.doc) or PDF (Adobe Reader), Jpeg, Gif format, which can be immediately downloaded, saved, viewed or printed.

3. Link to another site where the material that needs to be worked out is located. For example, on the site www.openyoga.ru

The test checks only one thing: how carefully you have studied and memorized the material of this particular Course. The test does not evaluate your global knowledge of the subject covered in this course. Therefore, for the correct answers to the test questions, you will only need the material set out in the course that you take. Questions and answers to test questions are not comprehensive and unambiguously characterize the subject of their consideration in relation to the material of the Course in question, but will only be an attempt to help you structure and systematize your understanding of the stated subject, to develop your attention and memory.

Each test, as a rule, consists of a certain number of questions that must be answered in a fixed time. Each question, as a rule, consists of, in fact, a question and several answer options, so that each student can choose the answer that he considers correct. Other forms of testing knowledge of the material covered are also used.

On the passage of each test is given a specific time. Sometimes it is given several attempts to take a test. Test results are saved, and the total score that the student has scored during the entire period of study is a criterion of his status. In addition, there are Courses that a student can take no earlier than scored a certain number of points when studying previous Courses.

Yoga classes involve serious training of human intellectual abilities. In yoga, it is believed that for the harmonious development of a person it is necessary to develop themselves both spiritually and intellectually. If a person neglects to engage in their mental development, then this can create serious problems in the study of higher yogas. It is necessary to systematically train your memory, attention, ability to focus and quickly find answers to all the questions that arise in life.

The tests are designed not only to help you check how well you have learned the material, but also to give you the opportunity to learn from the very first steps in yoga:

1. Train your ability to memorize and understand the material you have passed from the first time.

2. Quickly, for a limited time, to find answers to suddenly arising questions.

3. To concentrate the attention and to concentrate on the performed work.

As a rule, a test is considered successful if you score 80% or more percent.

Reviews for the course.

Sometimes reviews of students who have already completed this course are published in one course or another. This is done so that you have a more comprehensive picture of the learning process and those people who have already become involved in it. Sometimes it helps to show the atmosphere of study from the informal side. Thus, we save time for all those people who came to the site of courses by chance and had not yet decided that they would decide for themselves whether they need to continue studying here or it’s not their way.

Different courses can have different forms of homework. Often, as a homework assignment, we invite you to write a review for the course.

Regardless of which group of students you belong to, we encourage you to be very responsible in your homework. Please do not skip a single section in the review, be accurate and accurate. By the way a person does his homework, you can say a lot about a person. Please try to present yourself in the most favorable light for yourself. Pay special attention to the point where you will be asked to write questions for the course and answer options for them. Remember that a person’s knowledge and understanding of a subject can be assessed by whether a person can formulate a question, give an answer to a question, give answers that are very similar to the correct ones, but which are not, and so on. That is, there is some gradation of human knowledge of the subject, which is defined as follows:

The zero degree of knowledge of the subject is observed in a person when he cannot even ask any question regarding this subject.

A person who knows at least something about a subject can be determined by whether he can ask at least one meaningful question.

A low degree of knowledge and understanding of the subject is observed when a person can ask a meaningful question and give the correct answer to it.

The average degree of knowledge and understanding of the subject is when, in addition to the correct answer, a person can formulate answers that are very similar to the correct, but which are not correct. It is difficult to do this, because instead of an incorrect answer, a partially incorrect answer is often written, that is, an answer that is not absolutely wrong and allows for different interpretations of this answer. Sometimes writing the original wrong answer is much more difficult than just the right answer.

A high degree of knowledge and understanding of the subject matter is when, in addition to the correct answer, a person is able to come up with several wrong answers. And the thinner and deeper the knowledge of the subject, the more difficult it is to distinguish these incorrect answers from the correct ones. Since the course curators themselves have to compose questions, they can immediately select a person who owns the subject so well as to be able to compile truly wrong answers that are very difficult to distinguish from the correct ones. Of course, such a person immediately comes into view as a very promising student.

To better understand what homework is, we have placed one of its possible options in this course. We urge you to try to fulfill it in order to determine for yourself how acceptable it is for you to learn from us, how willing you are to fulfill our homework requirements.

Homework template is enough to download once.

When you download the Homework template for the first time, you replace the template answers with your own in the right columns of all three tables in the Homework task. Then you can rename the document, for example: HT_Course_002_Petr_Ivanov and send it to the appropriate resource, in this case: "Send Homework Course 002"

Be sure to keep this document on your computer! In the next course, you can use it to complete the Home Assignment, simply by changing the answers in the actual cells of the table. After that, save (“Save As”) the file by changing the course number, for example: HT_Course_003_Petr_Ivanov, and send the already saved document to the resource (“Send Home Assignment Course 003”).

So you can do in each course, and this will reduce the amount of time spent filling.

Insert photo.

In order to insert a photo into the Homework, you will need to do a few simple steps:

Photo copy

Paste in Homework

Change of size

Format change

Select: "around the frame" and put a tick "along the left" in the tab "Position"

You will be able to drag the photo into the desired area of the document.

Photo inserted!

Homework file format.

We usually ask you to send us your homework as an MS Word file, which is included in the MS Office software package.

That is, the name of the file and its extension may look like this: Home_task.doc

We chose this program because it is widespread throughout the world. Unfortunately, this is a commercial program, and not all people have the opportunity to purchase it.

But there is a completely free analogue of this program. This program is called Writer and is included in the software package called Openoffice.org.

That is, Openoffice.org is a free equivalent of MS Office, and Writer is a free equivalent of Word.

Therefore, if you do not have Word, you need to download the Openoffice.org software package for your language and use the Writer program for homework. But when you need to save and send homework, please use the Word (.doc) format. This format is built into the Writer program, and it must be selected when you click the "Save As ..." button. That is, at the end of the name of the homework file should be ".doc"

You can download the Openoffice.org software package and the Writer program included in it for free at http://ru.openoffice.org/

How to score for homework.

If the student answered all the questions of the review without gaps and sample answers, then the assessment is set to 100%. It is assumed that a student in some points where he does not know how to answer will write “I do not know”, “have not found”, “I cannot answer”.

If the Student answered only some of the questions, and some left unanswered or with a template option, then the assessment is set in proportion to the number of answers. For example, if in a recall of 25 questions and for them 100% is given, then one question accounts for 4%. Thus, if a person answered 6 questions out of 25, then he gets 24%.

If the student does not have a photo, then at the discretion of the curator, the estimate may be reduced by 1%.

If the person’s name is clearly a machine or explicit pseudonym, for example, “123 sdgfsdfg”, “Enlightened Buddha”, “Barack Obama”, then the estimate may be reduced by 1% at the discretion of the curator.

At the discretion of the curator, the student may be given one week to correct the deficiencies, after which the assessment of the homework assignment may be revised.

How long homework is estimated.

Homework is usually estimated a few days. This is done by the curators of the course, we do not trust the car in this matter. It all depends on the workload of the curators. But access to the next course, as a rule, is given automatically if you have successfully passed the tests. If you did not receive a homework grade during the week, then write a message to the course supervisor’s mailbox so that he can check your homework as soon as possible. Sometimes there are misunderstandings, especially in courses that do not take place very often. Therefore, if you write to us, for example: “Hello, my name is Vasily Ivanov, I took a Yoga course 255, and sent homework 8 days ago. Unfortunately, the rating is still not set. Please pay attention to this, ”then you will be very helpful to us.

Can I take courses and not do my homework and testing?

Unfortunately, our experience shows that learning without homework, as well as testing, is unpromising, giving rise to drop-outs, who consider themselves to be knowledgeable. Therefore, if a person is serious about learning, and not imitating training, as is often the case, he will have to strictly comply with all requirements. We appreciate the time and effort of our students and would not insist on doing unnecessary things. At the moment, there is an excess of people in yoga who have not seriously studied anywhere, but are already claiming the role of knowledgeable yogis or even Masters. Such people during the night can read a couple of books on yoga, and in the morning they already think that they have completely understood yoga, and those who are bolder are going to teach others themselves. We do not want to encourage this trend. It was justified earlier, when access to yoga was even more limited, but now other ways should arise.

How not to do homework?

We expect from you a constructive, friendly, sincere review that will help us make the Courses better, and you will develop useful qualities of character.

Unfortunately, there is a certain percentage of people who make mistakes in their homework. Below we give the most common mistakes, we ask you not to repeat them.

1. Worst of all, when a student leaves the answers that were given in the template for filling. Immediately there is the impression that such a person wants to go through all the yoga, which is called, without looking. Accordingly, the attitude of curators to such a student is quite unambiguous and predictable. The amount of free time at curators is not so much to spend it on work, which a computer program would cope with.

2. The next step is when a student leaves dashes instead of answers. It is not at all clear to the curator whether this is a technical failure of the program or whether you think that answering such questions does not make sense to you. If you really do not know what to answer, then write “I do not know”, “I don’t understand the question”, “I don’t want to answer” or something like that.

3. A loose text that has nothing to do with the questions that were asked. This immediately creates the impression that the person who wrote the review was, at best, inconsiderate at the time of writing the review. In the worst case, that person is generally inadequate.

4. The next step - claims. “What you give here I have not read anywhere else on the Internet. And that which is not on the Internet is not in the Universe. You probably got it wrong. I do not want and will not write anything. Why don't you have it, why don't you have one? And in general, I do not like everything here. Solid errors and inconsistencies. You had to do everything right for ten years, and then publish the Courses. By the way, why are your curators in the photos without non-turban? You have to discredit yoga. ”

You should understand that if the Internet was what we do, then we would not do anything, would not have to spend tremendous energy, time and unfunny financial costs for this work. The Internet also has not yet become a treasure trove of the entire centuries-old culture of mankind, so this is also not an argument for us. We can’t wait ten years and hone everything, we just don’t have an extra ten years. A review would help us find and fix these errors and inconsistencies if you, instead of your discontent, would point us to them. Our curators are the most ordinary people who honestly try to do their work. They have no time for a masquerade, they need to read your reviews.

5. The answer is crony, patronizing tone of teachings and edifications. This is the style of an older comrade who pats his younger brother on the shoulder and condescendingly gives him advice on how to live. “Yes, not bad, not bad, you amused me. So be it, I will give you one more minute of my precious time, I will teach you how to live, and you should not express gratitude. By the way, just call me - Lord. You can kiss the pen. "

Of course, we welcome all comments and suggestions in any form, but we should not forget that the course curators are people who are also not deprived of a sense of humor. Your review can be read by people who are much older and more experienced in life than anyone can imagine. Therefore, crony and patronizing style looks out of place.

What should be remembered when studying materials of Yoga Courses?

The task of the Open Yoga University and the Internet Yoga Courses is to present and explain the most difficult and poorly understood sections of yoga in simple and understandable language that can be understood by an ordinary person who has never had to deal with the science of yoga before.

.If possible, we try to use the minimum number of complex terms in Sanskrit.

To facilitate the perception of the knowledge of yoga, we strive to present all the theoretical aspects of yoga in the usual spoken language with clear examples from ordinary life, avoiding the science in presentation. Our ideal in the presentation of yoga is when any person with zero knowledge of yoga could immediately, without prior preparation, proceed to the course.

The fact that we try to present all the materials as clearly as possible does not mean that we could not provide the same knowledge in a formal, difficult to understand form that is accessible only to those who have been studying yoga for a long time and are familiar with the relevant terminology. We simply believe that it is ineffective at the moment, when there are very few people capable of such an approach. We believe that in the modern world, the lack of basic understanding in yoga is the most serious and most difficult problem to overcome. At the same time, this relatively simple and understandable language sometimes creates a harmful illusion for students that they do not need to focus their attention and seriously study the course material, but you can just read them fluently as entertainment literature or sometimes as exciting detective stories. Such an attitude to learning is extremely unproductive and is unlikely to lead a person to an understanding of yoga.

Yoga diary.

Yoga teaches us that the more focused we focus our attention on the material being studied, the better we will understand it and, most importantly, we will remember. The secret of good memory lies in the attention directed to what we want to remember. We can increase the concentration of attention by taking notes from the material being studied by hand, as well as pronouncing aloud new information for us, if there is a corresponding opportunity for this. This is partly reminiscent of memorizing, but, as experience shows, people who have passed through this recall her with gratitude in the future.

Therefore, in order to maximize the benefits of the Courses, they should be worked out with notes and, if possible, voiced out loud.

So, get yourself a Yoga Diary - a clean notebook or a notebook of a convenient size. As you study in the Yoga Diary, you will record the main points of the Courses, mark all the stages of your training, work, practice, passing the Internet Yoga Courses, lecture notes and classes, future plans, thoughts and emotions, as well as everything you consider necessary. It is extremely useful to draw pictures and draw diagrams, and insert them into your notes. When we write, draw, or speak out loud, we pay less attention to distractions and focus more on the material being studied.

As practice shows, the Yoga Diary extremely strongly develops attentiveness, memory, will and the ability to complete everything that has been started. In time, the Yoga Diary is as if saturated. Then, as experience shows, a very interesting effect will be observed. Once you take a look at the Yoga Diary or hold it in your hands, you will feel calm, clear, focused, self-confident. Your Yoga Diary will become your personal, self-made, protecting, protecting and soothing “amulet."

There is nothing supernatural about this. Everything is quite meaningfully explained in yoga. Simply, there are rough laws, there are subtle ones. Creating a Yoga Diary is a yoga method to use that grand potential that, according to yoga, is hidden in every person. When you study the Higher Knowledge of Yoga, then you certainly think about it, and your mind, thoughts in your mind imbue all that you come into contact with at these moments, and you just need to find a “battery” where this positive and power would be thoughts "accumulated". Your Yoga Diary will be just such a “drive” in time. When you take notes in your Yoga Diary with your hand, you will concentrate on the recordings, and your attention will become a kind of guide from the mind to the Yoga Diary.

Get a Yoga Diary right now. Friends, start a Yoga Diary right now, until everyday life has wiped out the impression of the importance of this requirement. Do not delay for later. If there is no suitable notebook or notebook for the diary, then take a few leaves of the first available paper and use them. Then you can paste them in or rewrite them in the Yoga diary. Some thoughts, emotions, pictures over time become a force factor, even if they were written down or drawn on a napkin, on a newspaper between the lines or on toilet paper.

Yoga Diary should be handwritten only. If you keep an electronic diary or blog and want to share your thoughts with others, then you can do it. But transfer your notes and pictures to the electronic form only after you have written them down manually. Manual version can be concise, and electronic more detailed, but most importantly - first by hand, and then on the computer. Remember that for the passage of a particular practice, you may need privacy in nature, where there is no computer. Also in the future you will study Yantra yoga, work with images, archetypes of forms, the fundamental principles of the Universe. All exercises are performed there exclusively by hand. Images are drawn, mantras fit. In addition, it is likely that there is a complex, non-obvious yoga connection between hand motility and concentration processes in yoga work with thought forms on the surface of the mind (buddhi). This is evidenced by such serious sections of yoga as Nyasa yoga, numerous specific exercises for the hands (mudras), yoga of working with images (Yantra yoga) and others. Since these principles are not completely clear to us, we cannot take the liberty to change the tradition and use the computer. Perhaps in the future, when this issue will be studied in detail, the situation will change, but for now we are urging you to keep a diary by hand.

If you do not want anyone to read your diary, you can come up with your own imaginative language that only you can understand. The main thing is that you yourself can read it over time. It is also important not to fall into paranoia and remember that, unfortunately, very few people are interesting to spy on us. We need to be at least something to represent that we were interested in others. Often, people by all means try to attract the attention of at least someone.

Take it a habit from time to time to view your past diaries with any specific frequency. Tying it to some dates, holidays, birthdays.

In addition, remember that you will not read your most important book on yoga. You will write it with your life. Yoga diary will help you fix this book in paper.

Yoga and creativity.

Years of experience shows that the study and yoga classes activate a person’s creative abilities even in areas where he himself did not expect anything from himself. We strongly encourage the creativity of students in the study of yoga. If in the process of studying the course materials you found inspiration and you spontaneously drew a picture illustrating any position in yoga, scan it and send it to us at happyoga@mail.ru, and we will place it in the course gallery. Let it be even a simple drawing. We appreciate first of all the rush of creativity, not skill. Feel free to send it to us. And if we like any drawing especially, then we will be able to use it as an illustration of our Courses, and you will become a co-creator of the Internet Yoga Courses! The same applies to all your other manifestations such as poetry, aphorisms and the like.

Yoga teaches us that inside each person there is a grandiose hidden creative potential. The task of every person is to realize this potential for the benefit of all living beings. Only by realizing it, a person has the prerequisites for finding peace in life, self-satisfaction, happiness and meaning. If a person does not realize this creative potential, then these, not finding a way out, human forces turn into their opposite - into depression, anxiety, aggression. Manifested in the form of negative tendencies of character and destructive behavior. There is nothing “bad” or “good”, “dirty” or “pure” in a person, but there is something relevant in manifestation and inappropriate in manifestation. Therefore, it is extremely easy to get rid of many negative factors of your life if a person pulls energy out of inappropriate and sends it to the appropriate. The fastest and best result is achieved when a person uses his energy for creativity for the benefit of all living beings. Yoga says: "Search for happiness through self-realization!"

But there are many obstacles in the way of implementation. One of the most formidable is our constraint and lack of faith in ourselves. It is for overcoming these qualities that we urge you to appreciate your creativity.

Time is the most irreplaceable factor in life.

Another serious factor in passing the course is the time it takes to complete it. From the very first steps of your training with us, we will encourage you to learn to appreciate time. We will ask you to try to calculate the time that it takes you to complete classes, tests, homework, and so on. All this is done so that you learn to "feel the time." So that you have a clear intuitive sense of time. Unfortunately, the overwhelming number of modern people can hardly imagine what their time of life is spent on. Few people are aware of how much time it takes to a particular activity. As a result, it takes too little time for something, too much for something. Yoga teaches that in our life time is enough to fulfill all the goals. But it is not on unnecessary, inappropriate things. A large number of various problems in life, ranging from material to spiritual, is caused precisely by the inability to navigate in the time of your life. Sometimes a person thinks that his problems in life are caused by so-called “negative karma”. In fact, everything is easier and sadder because of this: a person simply shows carelessness in the use of time. That is, if there is negative karma, then it manifests itself in the inability to realize the time factor. A person works when he needs to rest, or rests when he needs to work. Engaged in some business longer or less than is appropriate. Idle at the wrong time or at the wrong time showing hyperactivity. Yoga teaches that everything needs propriety, harmony, a sense of rhythm, tact, or a sense of the Dance of the Universe. All this follows from the so-called law of Rita, which is the basic law of the Ancient Vedas from which yoga originated.

We urge you to treat with understanding our calls to record your training time with us, at least approximately, and indicate it in your training reports. Many people who start learning from us sometimes express their displeasure with this time count. Some express even indignation about this. Many even quit studying for this reason. We apologize for such inconvenience to you. We have to go for it, otherwise when you master the higher sections of yoga, in particular the “quick methods in yoga”, you will not be able to get a good result. And even the fact that you may have negative emotions in connection with an approximate calculation of time, indirectly indicates that this is your case.

Sometimes we are called upon to set up our training system so that she herself considers the time of training. Indeed, in some cases this can be done. But at the same time, the whole point of this requirement is lost. We need you to develop the intuitive sensation and memory of the lifetime, and not a soulless computer system.

Thus, it is not enough to take one or another Yoga course. You have to go through it for a reasonable time. This primarily relates to full-time and correspondence students of the University. For free listeners, this time factor is not so significant. However, if free students also stick to it, they will get the best result from their studies. In reviews and homework assignments for courses, we often require to evaluate the time taken to complete each step from all students in order to develop a subconscious habit of appreciating the lifetime, knowing what it is spending. Evaluation of time will allow you to be proud of the time that you spent with benefit and avoid wasting. Historically, people do not like to think about it, and this is the root of many problems in life. It’s not even important that you spend a lot of time or a little on some kind of activity, it’s important to be aware of this. Courses are designed to learn to value time and know its price. If you feel the time, you will work out the correct rhythm of life and come closer to understanding the grand harmonious law of the Universe, which protects you from suffering and which in the Ancient Indian Vedas is called the Rita law. Any disrespect for time or arbitrary treatment of him is the prerequisite of suffering. Western experiments on the transfer of hours to winter and summer time to save electricity without an absolute need, from the point of view of Eastern tradition, are dangerous insanity, threatening disasters for all people. Such experiments are an indicator of disrespect for time.

Indeed, if a person takes a course in six months, when the course lasts for three days, then in order to complete fifty such courses, it will take him 25 years. This is unacceptable. Yoga will then definitely disappear. Unfortunately, sometimes it happens that a very capable student in life is surrounded by what in the language of yoga is called the term "tamas." That is passivity, stupidity, laziness. This environment is very contagious, it imperceptibly penetrates the person and begins to decompose it from the inside. It takes effort to get students out of tamas. To pull the student out of this state is precisely called a clear time frame.

Time is the most irreplaceable factor in human life and development.

We know examples when very capable, promising people over the years have mentally rolled into a semi-animal existence, and only shaking and severe discipline could bring them out of this state. In yoga, it is said that after stupidity, laziness, eclipse and sleepy stupor of the mind comes pain!

Course time is calculated by us based on the experience of other students in the past.

In one day 24 hours. In the usual year, 365 days and, accordingly, 365x24 = 8760 hours. The average life expectancy in developed countries is around 80 years. Thus, the average life expectancy is 80x8760 = 700800 hours. Or round up to 700 thousand. hours

What follows from this? All the people around you have about:

700 thousand hours to become immortal.

700 thousand hours to prepare for the next life, if they do not want to be immortal.

700 thousand hours in order to manage everything that was planned.

700 thousand hours to idle.

700 thousand hours to change the world for the better.

700 thousand hours to parasitize on the body of society.

700 thousand hours to get married, divorce, raise children.

700 thousand hours to suffer from a bad life or enjoy a good one.

A lot or a little 700 thousand hours for us? Very much, if disposed of wisely. Very little if you waste it. In some yoga texts it is said that there were precedents when people reached the highest states in three months or 30x3x24 = 2160 hours. On the other hand, we still meet the recommendation to live not for 80 years, but for at least 108 holy years. But the most important thing is not how long the person lived, but how the person lived. After all, an oak tree can live 300 years, but still remain an oak tree. The very first step towards the correct use of 700 thousand hours is to know what time is spent on.

Window of opportunity - do not miss it.

When scientists launch a satellite rocket to Mars, Jupiter, or other planets, they do so at a certain time when the planet is closest to Earth. That is, a time window when this can be done freely. If you start earlier or later, then the same result is much more difficult to achieve, and sometimes impossible at all.

The study of yoga also has its own time window. If you carelessly miss it, then you have to wait for the next window for many years, and possibly life. We do not know our karma and all the learning circumstances that exist in the world.

It is an illusion that everything is and always will be on the Internet and that you can use what is now at any time. Even with a certain periodicity we remove some knowledge from the general access, when we see that the time to use it has passed, for a certain group of people. What to say about a variety of other factors.

Starting school, do not drop it. Do not miss your chance. Time does not return, for any money.

Learning the basics of yoga.

Many very important, key concepts and topics of yoga can sometimes be repeated in different sections of our Courses. Topics like the First and Second principles of yoga, the basic requirements and recommendations for the study of yoga and others will be repeated from Course to Course. This does not mean that we do not value your time, forcing us to repeatedly repeat the topics you already know. We deliberately repeat these topics, since our long experience shows that, despite the simplicity and obviousness of certain provisions in yoga, students hardly assimilate them and do not apply them either in yoga practice or in ordinary life. Therefore, we, as it was in the best traditions of the ancient Yoga Teachers, are forced to insist that the students literally memorize some axiomatic positions in yoga and constantly repeat them. Sometimes it takes years of such repetitions, so that the hidden meaning of these seemingly obvious positions in yoga becomes truly realized by the student.

Thus, you should be patient and try again and again to understand the positions in yoga that you may have repeatedly encountered before. We emphasize once again that the teachers of yoga in ancient times valued someone else's time, and if they insisted on repeated repetition of the teachings, then this was due to the absolute necessity. Any impatience and inconsistency in the study of yoga, an unwillingness to repeat the main points sometimes ends with a slowdown and a stop in the study of yoga.

How after registration should be enrolled in a particular Yoga Course?

After your registration, as soon as you enter a course for the first time, the computer system usually asks you if you want to enroll in this course, and if so, ask you to confirm it. If you are enrolled in a course, the link at the top left must be “Grades”. If, instead, there is an inscription link "Register for a course", then you need to go through it and confirm your entry. Otherwise, the system will decide that you are out of curiosity.

How should I take this or that Yoga Course?

1. Get yourself a Yoga Diary.

2. Choose a place or time where or when no one will disturb you. Remember that there are no perfect places, so choose the best that is.

3. Prepare a pen and watch, as well as your Yoga Diary. It is better if there are several pens of different colors.

4. Record in the Yoga Diary the time and date for the start of the course, as well as the time for the start of the first step of the course.

5. Work out the material outlined in this step. First, work through the text of the lesson. When studying the material, make the necessary notes and comments in your Yoga Diary. These notes and notes will be needed in order to better understand the material and successfully complete the Basic Homework for this course. Then, if possible, view or listen to the same material presented in Video or Audio format.

6. Record the time and date of completion of this step.

7. Continue to the next step or step. Pass the Test to check how you have learned the material from the previous step. Mark the start time and the end time of each of your attempts to pass the test. For passing the test in one attempt, you are given a certain fixed time. This time is calculated so that you have about 30 seconds for each answer, but you can handle it faster.

8. Thus, go through all the steps of the Course, including additional materials, homework, applications and explanations. Mark in the Yoga Diary the end date of the Course, all your thoughts, emotions, comments related to the Course.

Exercise yoga and online yoga courses.

Friends, starting with the first course of the first cycle (Course 007), yoga exercises will be added, which you can do yourself. First of all it will be exercises from hatha yoga, then Kriya Yoga and Mantra Yoga. Therefore, if you are eager to start working with your body with the yoga method right now, then please have patience. First, you need to gain a minimum of the theory of yoga, which will save you from the inevitable mistakes in the independent exercise of physical exercises. We are consciously taking this step. If you studied yoga live from teachers, and not remotely via the Internet, you could combine theory and practice from the first classes. The teacher would monitor you and adjust the performance, rhythm, workload, and other factors. The distance learning factor imposes certain limitations on this issue.

Thus, the logic of the course is as follows. First, it is a rather brief, but not superficial, introductory theory that conveys the spirit of the teachings of yoga. Then a variety of exercise from yoga. After that comes a more in-depth theory of yoga, which will allow you to more thoroughly perform the previous yoga exercises, as well as add new exercises that require serious knowledge from the theory of yoga.

Friends, be patient. Everything will come in due time.

Periodic cleansing courses. Estimates for tests and homework.

The number of students in our courses is now estimated at thousands of people from dozens of countries around the world. All this creates a serious load on the servers and software courses. A particularly difficult situation arises with the testing and storage of huge amounts of intermediate information about the student’s actions on the courses. All this slows down the speed of the system and makes it difficult for new students to study. For this reason, we have to “clean” the courses with a certain frequency, delete all intermediate information, and transfer all important data to the archive. Therefore, if at a particular course that you have already passed, your test scores, your homework, or you suddenly did not find yourself in the lists, then do not worry. All this is most likely due to the zeroing of the course after all the data has been transferred to the archive.

The only problem sometimes can arise if you have passed only part of the tests or did not have time to send homework and at the same time suddenly found that everything was updated. In this case also, do not be discouraged; feel free to contact the course curators and explain the situation. Or even, even better, rejoice at this fact, since you have the opportunity to take tests several times, and, accordingly, it is better to remember the material and improve your marks for the tests. That is, as yoga teaches, "pay defeat in victory."

Friends, keep a copy of your homework course or certificate - this is proof of your successful completion of the course.

If you took a long break in training and decided to resume it, a copy of the completed and assessed homework and certificate will allow the supervisors to quickly raise the archives and give you access to the following courses. Or you can ask the curator to give you the opportunity to once again complete the previous courses to refresh them in memory.

Event Calendar window.

The event calendar is a very useful course resource, as it allows you to keep track of events that interest you. It can be seminars, lectures, retreats, conferences. Different colors indicate different events. For example, green is used for general events, that is, for all students in courses. Both for students of free students, and for correspondence and full-time students. Red color is an event for students of a particular course. Yellow color for certain groups of students who study yoga together. Blue color - this is your personal events, that is, those that you make to the calendar for yourself as a reminder.

Upcoming events window.

"Upcoming Events" is a very handy module that shows the student the next event. Here, the events presented in the calendar are duplicated, as well as all other important learning points that have a time frame for implementation.

Window "News Forum".

All the latest news related to the courses are presented in the "News Forum" window.

Recent Activity Window

The "Recent Actions" window shows all the recent changes that have occurred on the course, what has been added or removed, what new messages were on the course forum and much more. Since the work on the courses is constantly being conducted by the curators, it is useful to look at even those courses that you have already taken and look for new materials on them.
