School of Open Yoga.
The Open Yoga School is a movement of like-minded people who have studied yoga using all the remaining and accessible features. Yogins and yoginis from different countries studied, practiced, discovered and rediscovered the knowledge of yoga. After that, they openly shared their experiences and knowledge. At the same time, first of all, the emphasis was placed not only on preserving what had miraculously reached us, but also on reopening many yoga positions, since only in this case the possibility of making mistakes is reduced.
It was the mutual communication of a large number of yogis and yoginas who practiced and studied yoga through all possible, serious sources that led to the formation and existence of the Open Yoga School at present.
Thus, the Open Yoga School strives to maximally, as far as it is possible and expedient, be decentralized and include the maximum number of surviving directions, types and sections of different yogas. Since in the past the most different types, approaches and directions flowed into the school, it is impossible to single out any particular one. Moreover, as the adaptation of yoga continues to occur, it is likely that in the future the process of merging and merging with other groups and directions will continue uninterruptedly.
The same applies to the personalities of yogis and yoginis.
Another important component in the development of Open Yoga was the free and open dissemination of this knowledge without the requirement to assume any religious and philosophical doctrines that may unduly restrict the freedom of followers.
So the name “Open Yoga” was formed, although in some countries and regions other names may be used for reasons of employment of such a name, as well as for denying unnecessary associations with other movements and directions that use the word “open”.
Many yogis and yoginis, those who created and maintained Open Yoga, led and are working to promote and spread yoga, so they can be widely known in the countries where they live and outside of these countries under their own names or pseudonyms.
Another large part of the followers and organizers of Open Yoga, due to personal modesty and other reasons, are completely non-public people and their names are little known to beginner practitioners. Although their contribution to the development, re-discovery, sponsorship of Open Yoga can be very large. In the Open Yoga School, with great respect and understanding, the private personal life of each follower is considered and if he chooses non-publicity, then this is important for us and it is always taken into account.
Finally, there is a very common case when a follower of Open Yoga after the fulfillment of the planned plans changes its status and leaves the public promoter for a long time in personal practice and sharply limits his communication. Just the opposite is the case when, after a long and hard work in personal practice, in-depth training and the reopening of yoga, a follower of Open Yoga begins to share this invaluable knowledge, thereby becoming a public person.
Therefore, public fame does not always show the merits and status of Open Yoga followers. All this leads to the fact that in Open Yoga the hierarchical principles of organization are minimally used or not used at all. The equality of all organizers and founders of the school is most welcome. The truth is that the principle of meritocracy, or the “power of merit”, comes to the fore. The greater the contribution to the development of yoga, the longer a person performs any functions, the higher his status and the more weighty his opinion among like-minded people.
With regard to teachers and followers of Open Yoga of those who decide to retire and limit their public communication, for personal practice or for any other reasons, the unwritten rule applies: By all means, contribute to this and protect his choice. There is nothing worse when the practice begins to be disturbed by reason of curiosity, the desire to obtain the knowledge that can be obtained from others or to seek knowledge that cannot be transferred for a number of reasons.
The same applies to the publicity of the whole school. Unnecessary, inappropriate advertising only gets in the way. Especially among people who do not like yoga for some reason. Such advertising only provokes a negative on their part. Therefore, the best advertising is “word of mouth” and a specific benefit to all interested people. Advertising among people who believe that they do not need yoga, leads to the fact that such people come and bring a lot of unnecessary difficulties. Therefore, the general principle is the following, so that as few unnecessary people as possible know and, at the same time, as many necessary people as possible know about Open yoga. Only in these opposing trends can people bring maximum benefit by reducing the loss of time and effort.
The organizational side of the Open Yoga school varies significantly by country or region. Somewhere - these or those associations and organizations (legal entities), in accordance with local legislation. Somewhere followers of yoga can act exclusively as private (physical) persons. Somewhere it can be a “profit” or “non-profit" of an organization. Conditions and legal aspects can really differ significantly from one country or region to another, therefore this issue is more in the competence of local followers.
In general, the organization of yoga, as a rule, is similar to similar trends in the study of the cultural heritage of different peoples, languages, ethnography, art, science, or the practical mastery of various sports, martial arts, ancient lost crafts, etc. Here, first of all, the common interest of like-minded people, common aspirations, rather than form, are important.
Also, our world is constantly changing, so organizational forms of yoga are also changing.
Unfortunately, in some countries and regions of the world there is now a sharp increase in extremism of various kinds, intolerance, xenophobia. In these places, the followers of yoga simply can not openly declare themselves, without exposing themselves and their loved ones to repressive influences of the most varied sense. Often, people there just have to hide their interest in yoga.
Therefore, the question of who is a follower of yoga in a particular country, or what organizational legal forms of work exist there, is sometimes simply impossible to answer due to the lack of guaranteed unequivocal legal norms in these countries and regions or a difficult socio-political situation.
Therefore, communication and work with followers from such countries is carried out during their physical visits to other countries where these issues are resolved. Also, of course, there is the possibility of communication and work through the global Internet, but there are also a number of countries and places where even this is very difficult to do.
If you plan to study or teach yoga in the future in your country or region, then you yourself will have to resolve all legal and legal issues in accordance with local legislation, as experience in some countries cannot always be transferred to others, and it is extremely difficult to find a highly qualified lawyer who at the same time would have knowledge of both global practice and would know the peculiarities of legislation in specific countries, in such a non-obvious area as the science of self-knowledge is yoga.
It also remains an open question about how the study and teaching of yoga will be combined with your current status, social position, position held, attitude of society in your country to this specialty, attitude of your family and friends, common philosophical and religious realities, political trends .
